I need some advice getting into Berkeley as English Major

I currently have a 3.77 gpa for the fall semester, and assuming a 3.81 for my spring semester. Took 29 units in total. Took 2 scholar classes and finished my english 1 with an A and assuming to get a B for english 15 which is one of the two pre-reqs. Im planning to take English 2 and English 5 (the last pre-req) during the summer, and planning to use the other remaining semesters for the igetc and other uc's prereqs for English..I'll have about 50 units by end of fall semester in my sophmore yr.

Im in the water polo and swimming varsity team.

If I maintain a 3.7 3.8 4.0-ish kinda gpa, with an athletic record, what are my chances?
good or bad?

is berkeley wanting only all A students? ill probably have 2 or 3 b's by end of spring semester.

You don’t need to have straight A’s to get in. I transferred to Berkeley (EECS) with a 3.7-3.8 when I applied. It sounds like you’re on the right track, good luck!

is there a huge difference if one student finishes there prereqs by fall, and the other by spring prior to admission?
