HAHAH…just kidding…it is a chances post. Hopefully you’re not mad. I’m an ED applicant to the joint degree LSM program.

SAT: 2100 (CR: 760, M: 690, W: 650)
SATII: Math IC: 730, Bio 730, US History 720
GPA: 3.94 UW, 4.7 weighted
Class Rank: 2/256
Almost the hardest schedule available, missing one AP class out of 4

President of National Honor Society
Varsity Badminton
Lab Intern at the Univ. of MD
Maryland Distinguished Scholar
Rec Basketball
AP Scholar
Meals on Wheels

because you tricked me like that I refuse to help you. I don't appreciate liars.

HAHAHA just kiddding...I'd be a little concerned about the SAT's...even though a 690 is REALLY REALLY close to a 700 you're a lot safer with all of the three sections within the 700's range. But your trump card will be your rank and your GPA which are in excellent shape.

I really don't know what to say about NHS...I mean your school's NHS chapter may be really active and you may have done some great things...but ours doesn't do anything so it's a different ballpark.

Intern: good
Badminton: never known anybody to be on a varsity team. Interesting.

I guess from here on out its all up to the essays that you wrote. Let's hope it puts you above the margin. Good luck!

Actually no, i don't think LSM is as popular here as M&T. most people go for that program. I would, but dual degree seems a bit much. I rather just go for a single. (plus my stats aren't near that high). what was your single degree choice? I went for wharton.

yeah, i hope i get in, and i hope that financial aid doesn't screw me over.

LSM is also Wharton admissions. Good luck getting into Wharton without an 800 SAT math section and without an 800 MathIIC (how many times do I have to say that that score is very common among people good at math).

Unless you are international, fin aid does not skrew you over for need blind colleges like Penn. They do not look to see how much aid you are requesting.

I'd say no. Math score is way too low, and will be examined closely especially for LSM. Three AP's isn't really that hard. Badminton isn't a real sport. AP Scholar is a fake award, so is distinguished scholar - I'd hope that pretty much everyone who even applies would have these under their belt. NHS is a fake club. Sorry to be harsh and stereotypical, that's just my opinion.

So hook this is how you respond to what people said about your chances. You say "screw you guys" when they were giving their honest opinion. Why do you even post on these threads then? If you are expecting to get showered with glowing praise about how great your application is then this is not the place.

This is the internet. Everyone, including me, has no choice but to be peaceful. Plus i dont think anyone actually stresses over what some other random person said to them on the internet.

didn't sound like much of a joke to me hoodhopper...
and your chances for lsm are very slim...although the gpa is good, the 690 math and the lack of math IIC will hurt big time
