I am a high school senior, with very pedestrian stats. I didn't get into my top few choices, and now have to make a choice between Drexel and attending a Penn State satellite campus for two years. I was thinking, if I go to a satellite of Penn State, I can get my grades up and apply as a transfer to a few highly ranked colleges, or simply just go to University Park. The thing is, I know almost nothing about the transfer process, so could somebody please inform me about what I should do to make myself a more attractive transfer applicant? Also, do some people transfer after only one year, or is it generally after two?

Anyone have any advice?

I don't know anything about Penn State, but a few of my friends who graduated last year ended up going to Drexel and hated it. They are transferring next year. I just hear the quality of life is none too good there. However, to each his/her own, and hopefully you make the right decision! Good luck.

CLC2, Purdue and SUNY Buffalo are still accepting applications.
