Hey guys! So I am currently a high school senior, going on to attend college with a business major at undergrad (and perhaps also another major that pertains to public relations). My end goal is to go to Stanford law school for entertainment law (yeah, I know that's far ahead, but I work better if I can have somewhat of a plan in mind).

Thus far, I have gotten into:

Chapman U.
Fordham U.
U. Wash Seattle
BU
American
UT Austin

Which of these will Stanford (or any other upstanding law schools) look upon with the most respect and highest regard when reviewing my application 4 -5 years from now (assuming I maintain a stellar GPA and get a good LSAT score)

Again I know this is all way ahead of time, but I like having goals to work towards!!

agreed…
maybe american or UT? idk…i rly dont know much about those schools except 4 bu…so i’d say bu lol.
yea dont take my advice…ignore this post.

or go on the net and check rankings for ungrad business programs and see which school is ranked highest!

or just choose which one you like best. you’ll b happy, work hard, and maybe end up at stanford!

This is not what you asked, but if you plan on going to a very top Law school (like SLS), majoring in business might not be the best choice. Any “academic” major will be better (like Econ, for example)

Thanks guys! When I looked it up UT had a top 10 business school (rated by forbes) so I can’t really pick haha.
Lerkerman-why do you say BU?

nngmn-Yeah my dad is a lawyer and he told me he did business for undergrad because he wanted to run his own lawfirm (which is what I would one day like to do). I could always double major or minor or something too, because I think it would be good if I majored in econ or something like that.

for entertainment law I’d recommend Gould over Stanford. You do two things in grad school, 1) learn the subject and 2) make the relationships that’ll help you down the road. The top LA law firms were founded by Gould alum, and the profs and many of the students at Gould are already wired into the LA entertainment community…LA entertainment industry is like living in a small town:)
