I need some advice!

Last semester I slacked off a lot and got a D in Calculus II (worst grade I've ever gotten). Since a lot of my classes this fall require a C or above in Calculus II as a prerequisite, I had to take it again over the summer at a local community college. I just received my grade and to my pleasant surprise, I received an A this time. Unfortunately, only classes taken at my college are factored into the GPA. I still can retake up to 13 credits of classes that I got a D/F in at Clemson if I take the class at Clemson.

How do summer classes at other colleges appear on your transcript? If I am looking for an internship next summer, do you think I should take Calculus II again for a third time this fall at Clemson to improve my GPA? (since I am only currently scheduled to take 13 credits next semester)

Sadly no. you have to take the course at your school for the grade to actually be couneted in your gpa. If you take it at another school, its just going to show up as receiving transfer credit for that class. Idk why, but thats just the way it is.

I honestly would say retake Calc 2. Anything below a C you should retake to increase your gpa. it will be very beneficial later as a D on a transcript does not look good for anything whether it be for a job or grad school
