I'm an incoming freshmen and just have registered for the courses...
I need some feedback on my schedule...

BUS K-201 Computer in business
MATH M-118 Finite Mathematics
MATH M-119 Brief survey of Calculus
BUS A-100 Intro to Accounting
CMCL C-121 Public Speaking
MUS P-110 Piano for beginners (easy A)

It will be a little difficult while you have A100, but the other 8 weeks shouldn’t be hard.

yours is pretty close to mine. i’m doing a10o, m118, and m119 also, which i think will be better, just because math comes easy for me.

pbkim, that is one of the most difficult schedules I have ever seen for a first semester freshman. You are taking the four most difficult classes that are needed to get into Kelley, and you are taking them all in a single semester. What is your hurry? You can spread these difficult classes out over two semesters and make life easier for yourself.

You and Murty Jones should drop one of the math classes as soon as possible. Not just because it is overload to take both at once, but because the mid term for M118 and M119 is given at the same time for both classes, Saturday, October 23, 9-10:30.

Are you direct admits? If I were trying to get into Kelley, I would take only one of M118 and M119 the first year, because you do not need both of them to get into Kelley. These are tough grading classes, and if you get lower than a B- in any of them, you have a good chance of being denied admission to Kelley. Drop one of the math classes and take X100 instead. It is a useful class for getting into Kelley and has easy grading.

from the getting into Kelley page: [Future IU Freshmen: Admissions: Undergraduate Program: Kelley School of Business: Indiana University Bloomington](<a href=“Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley”>Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley)

Completion of three or more of the following admissions courses:

* MATH-M 118 Finite Mathematics
- MATH-M 119 Brief Survey of Calculus
- BUS-K 201 The Computer in Business
- BUS-X 100 Introduction to Business Administration OR BUS-G 100 Business in the Information Age

If you take both M118 and M119, get a B- in one of them and don’t get into Kelley, you will be regretting having taken both of these classes. You won’t get extra consideration for taking both. Getting accepted is about meeting minimum requirements and getting all B’s or higher.
