When I checked the application checklist today, it said that I'm missing rec #2 (I used the common) and that none of my SAT scores were received.

This is puzzling; College Board told me via my online account that the scores were sent December 29th, and I presume Cornell would receive them promptly, at most taking a few days to arrive by mail. So I'm not sure why they werent received.

And I have no idea which rec they received and which one they didnt. I'll call them up, but it would be a pain to ask both teachers to write new ones (one has a copy of the original rec, the other doesn't).

Did anyone else experience something of this nature, especially the SAT scores predicament?

always if you have a question, call Cornell and ask...!!! those ppl are nice...
it happened to me too when i applied, they missed my Rec#2 which my teacher sent it a month before the deadline, after awhile they got that letter back..so don't worry since they dealt with n number of apps...so don't worry

Well that's why you should always have a copy ;)

In any case, just call Cornell and tell them your situation, they will understand. Tell them that you got a confirmation from College Board and you don't know why they didn't get your scores. Maybe they just overlooked them or misplaced them or something like that.

Thanks for replying. I intend to call them 8:00 tomorrow, they're not open now, and I just got the email. :D I guess its possible that one of my recommendations will re-surface in the system. In your situation, did you eventually send out another rec, or did you just wait until it re-surfaced?

Best of luck."

If it was me sending it out, I would have a copy. ;) I will definitely call Cornell first thing tomorrow, and I really hope I'll be able to resolve everything. Thanks for the help! :) I'll let you guys know what happens when I call them tomorrow.

BD89, i had everything prepared for my teacher in order for him to send another copy, b ut after like around a week or 2, they had it checked on the site, the office basically asked me not to send in before they double checked, but i was just a little bit hurry and try to get things done, but before i need to do it, everything was fine....

I guess I should wait, but I cant really afford to wait long, since everything has to be in soon. I'm going to call them up tomorrow to find out what the deal is though.

I'm assuming this is for transfer?? My app check list says my supplement, instructor rec, high school transcript, and college transcript aren't there but they were all sent out before the new year. What gives?

Im actually in the same situation. My 2nd rec was not received, neither were my SAT scores. I need to send my scores through collegeboard, but it takes 3-5 weeks. Im not quite sure what to do about that yet. What number should I call to ask about the rec. letter though?

I called admissions this morning, everything is there except my transcripts. She said the Status Update is still being sorted out for transfers. No worries.
