I have no idea which school to apply to! I don't even know how to start looking...there are so many. And I'm completely by myself, meaning, my parents won't help me, they don't want me to go to college. Which also means I can't visit any campuses. l: I have a 3.2 GPA and I'm going to be a Senior in August. I have no extracurricular activities. I want to major in Psychology, Social Working?, or Special Edu. I want a campus that I'll fit into. I don't really have a religion, so that doesn't matter. I want a place with nice, warm people with a beautiful setting. Help? ._.

Oh, I was emailing someone at Cornell College, but I wasn't very formal. Will that affect what they think of me?

What’s your budget? What state do you live in?

I live in Tennessee but I don’t have to go to a school here. And I don’t have a set budget, but I’ll need financial aid, etc.

I suggest you look into Kalamazoo College and Hope College (Both are in Michigan)

If you stay in TN, you probably qualify for the HOPE lottery scholarship on top of what individual institutions can offer you. TN campuses are also going to be close enough that maybe you could drive out and back in a day depending on where in the state you are. There are lots of great colleges and universities here.

University of Memphis has great Psych and Special Ed programs and has a campus school, though I wouldn’t personally call the setting “beautiful”. Austin Peay, Christian Brothers, Carson-Newman, Lee, Maryville, UTK, UT Martin all might be places to look.
