Ok, I need some help picking a college. I want to major in Pre-Med in college and then hopefully do well enough in college to get accepted into Duke, U Penn, or Dartmouth Med (I also put a hopeful one in there so don't knock me for Dartmouth lol). I've pretty much narrowed it down to 3.

1) UCF. Pros - Right down the street (I could live at home and pocket the money I'd get to cover my dorm like my sister does), I'd get quite a bit of money from them (I'm completely on my own for paying for college and Med school, so this is a huge plus), and they take all my AP credits (I'd only have to take a semester of math and communication and I'd be completely done with all my gen eds and I'd have extra credits in Chem, Bio and history) which is an enormous plus. Cons - Lack of prestige (I'm worried I won't get accepted to one of the above med schools simply because I have a degree from UCF).

2) UF. Pros - Prestige, takes all my AP credits (I'd just have to take a semester of math and a diversity class), recognized medical program (I'd consider going to their medical school). Cons - Far (I'd have to live in a dorm, ugh), classes are very hard, I'm told most the students aren't that nice by a ton of people, wouldn't get nearly as much money.

3) UM. Pros - Prestige, fantastic (pre)medical program (I'd go to their medical school), takes most of my AP credits. Cons - Expensive (Bright futures only covers a few grand a semester) and far.

My uncle is head of pediatric anesthesiology at Arnold Palmer here in FL and he says places of work (hospitals, practices, etc) and residency programs really don't give a crap where you went to college but where you went to med school. His wife (a cardiac surgeon) and my brother-in-law (OBGYN) said the same. So my college years are all about me trying to get into a really good medical school because not only do I need to get into a good residency program but also a good fellowship program because I want to become a pediatric surgeon.

So any help?
