I need some information...

If I'm applying to UPenn ED, do I have to choose a school (CAS, SEAS, Nursing, Wharton)? About how many people apply to each school every year (ED AND RD)? And how many people get accepted to each school? Which school is less competitive?
And when is the latest time for me to take SAT I and II ? (For ED)

Thanks a lot.

don’t apply to a school ed just because its less competitive. Apply bcoz u want to go there coz its binding. And yeah u do have to apply to one specific school and if yu apply for a dual degree then the dual degree + 1 specific school. However, traditionally, in terms of selectivity- wharton>CAS>seas>nursing.

Thanks you so much for answering my questions. But is it okay if I take the SAT I in October and i’m applying ED?

^ From the Penn admissions web site, regarding Fall 2009 ED applicants (not yet updated for 2010 ED applicants):

^ thank you.
but there is no SAT in the summer. is it ok to take the october test?

^ It says “no later than November.” Last time I checked, October comes before November. :)

If you want to verify that October is still sufficient, however, you should contact the admissions office (call or email).

I would recommend getting the SAT done before October. If you have to, October can be used for one or two final subject tests if you haven’t taken them (though you probably should attempt subject tests before this). That way it’s a lot less stressful. If you take the test in October, you probably should send it directly to Penn in the free score report the collegeboard provides you. This way you can be sure it will get there on time. However, you will not see your score before it gets sent. This doesn’t really matter though, since Penn does not accept score choice.
