Any recommendations or advice? At my school, you have to be in 11th grade to take an AP Course. My school is only starting AP's next year. If some AP courses aren't provided I'll choose self study.
Plus can anyone also recommend me any texts for my Self study courses?
Thankx

Taking AP Chem on your own without taking honors chem first is a step into hell. 9th grade physical science is not proper preparation. I would have recommended taking AP psychology if you wanted to take an AP in 10th grade, but it seems you have gone with normal psychology. Other than that, your schedule looks manageable.

You should be warned though, independent study APs are no walk in the park. Especially with science APs, it is very difficult to teach yourself the more complex topics.

^^^ totally agreed. I took AP chemistry this year after a Pre-AP chemics course (chemistry + physics) and I can assure you no physical science is going to give you the necessary background information to teach yourself ideas like acid/base buffers, hybridization, equilibrium and thermodynamics. If you want to self teach yourself something I’d suggest APHG, AP psych, or maybe even AP history if you really want to…but again I agree with the previous post, don’t just assume you can teach yourself AP classes without ever even taken one before. Also a lot of people don’t do well on AP environmental because of the background information needed in chemistry and biology. Having only taken a physical science, I would completely avoid self-teaching any science course.

take ap english lang test on your own soph or junior year

Does your school offer AP Chemistry with lab? Many schools require 2 lab course if your high school offers. Self studying for AP is fine, but then you would not fulfill the lab course requirement. If your schools does not offer that lab anyway, then it is not your problem.

@appropinquabant

I really, really wouldn’t suggest that unless he practices writing timed essays.

Half of the difficulty in the essay section is getting your ideas across in less than 40 minutes.
