I need some real help

Back in 2005 I started college on a full ride scholarship, plus I received a stipend. 28 on the ACT and everything was set, I then got a job and started partying and lost it all. Then I started taking out loans- and stopped going to class. Let skip forward to today- I am about a year away from either a political science or sociology degree.I am not meeting satisfactory academic progress and cannot take out any student loans (keep in mind I am already paying almost 550 a month on the ones I have out now. ( because I took out too much and spent it and I was an idiot) My work offers tuition reimbursement but you have to pay for the class up front in the first place. I do not know if I would qualify for any scholarships but with my college transcripts having W's and even Fs on it from not dropping in time I can't see anyone giving me a scholarship. I currently have a decent job, but I dont have a decent enough job to pay for college myself and still survive.

At Henderson State University where I would have to go to finish my 4 year degree- its quite a drive away.

In Hot Springs where I work they have a community college that is a nice sized place- but I already have an AA. So all I could or would pursue there would be a paralegal certification. I am not proud of where I have placed myself in life- I was very stupid in 2005 and beyond and now I am paying for it... but does anyone- anywhere have any tips on how I can finish this degree. Whenever I talk to academic advising at HSU they are never very helpful and don't seem to have any advice.

Am I degreeless until I can finance myself or does anyone have any ideas. I am 26 now and realize how badly I have bungled things up.

I am looking for any advice anyone would care to share!

[Accredited Online College | University of Maryland University College](http://Www.UMUC.edu) offers a wide variety on majors online. They will accept up to 90 credits (three regular years if coursework) in transfer credit from four year institutions. Read through the website and see what you think. Then check each of your own home state public universities, and find out if they have a similar online program. You could take one class at a time, and pay for it out of pocket.

If you can’t afford the tuition and fees just yet, keep working, and set aside some money each month until you can.
