I would just like to add that I really feel for today’s teen girls. There is a tremendous amount of social pressure on them and the thread of suicide as a discussion and reality is common in their world. Being a teen girl is hard enough without having to manage the snapchat, Instagram and social media posts that one must deal with these days.
You mentioned SUNY schools…I will also share that we toured Marist looking other programs but wow…did they have a great fashion merchandising program. It is also test optional. It might be a fit for your DD. Yes, back off but maybe help her get a few four year applications in because by June, she may be more than ready to go away to college. It also might be just what she needs - to get away from high school. At least in our area, CC and a few local 4 years can just be continuations of high school because so many local kids attend.
