I need to know this NOW..

hii everyone I am currently a first year student at UCI, but I am going to transfer to ccc soon and try to transfer to Cal or UCLA after two years. Those are my ultimate dream school and I am desperate for getting in. I have decided not to finish this quarter at UCI because a class that I am taking right now is really hard but I have to take it since it's a requirement for the honor program here. It's impossible for me to get an A or B. I am planning to withdraw from school soon. If I do it by this Friday, my UCI transcript will not list the courses i am taking right now, it will simply state that I withdrew from school. If I do this after this week, my transcript will list the courses i am taking right now with "W".
This is a tough decision for me because i only have two days left till the deadline. I've talked to the ccc counselor and she just simply said that it's better to have w instead of a bad grade that can ruin my GPA later, and she said it is better to withdraw than getting a C this quarter.
If I don't want to finish quarter, is it better to withdraw from school as soon as possible? does it really look bad to have my transcript listing the courses I am taking right now with "W"?
thank you very much for taking time to read my issue....

Suggestion please ><
I appreciate thank youu so mcuh

If you aren't going to finish the semester I would just withdraw now. It think it's better to have a gap semester than a whole semester of Ws.

i agree, if you already know for sure that you are not planning on finishing the semester then definitely w/d now

thanks you two for the quick replies
I just called my parents and they agreed me to do this noww.....
gonna do it tomorrow morning...

umm... just a quick question
cuz my class at ccc starts 1/12. What should I do during this gap? should i find a job? or any suggestions? any activities that might help with my chances of getting in?
thanks :)

I'm in the same situation as you with not much to do. So far I've just been working out of a few prep books for classes I will be taking in the spring.
