I NEED to know what you guys majored in.

Let's just say i'm doing some research.

What are you guys majoring/majored in? Why do you like it?

What major(s) did you switch from and why?

If you graduated, do you like what you are doing? Does your career have anything related to your major?

Would you wish you went back and double majored or minored or took some extra classes?

I'm majoring in English, focusing on comparative literature. I used to major in Political Science. I now think political science almost implies a general sense of frustration with a senseless world filled by politicians who tried to use the tools of the engineers to justify their political claims. And speaking of my current major: English, I'm loving it despite the fact that English is not my native language, but it is still fun! I mean, language is fun, and comparative literature is a new field, I'm looking into comparative media/cultural studies. Besides, comparative literature ain't all that hardcore once you excel in 2 languages, oh well, I'm working on my third...
As for post-graduation, I will go to graduate school and then become a bum. :)
With language skills, I could easily become the Bum Fund Manager of the entire NYC. And um, my career has everything to do with my major. To be able to elicit huge amounts of free money in three different languages spanning three continents is a valuable life skill.
hehe, seriously, I want to be a professor or a bum.
I want to take some extra classes, no double major, double major=waste of time+lack of specialization.

I majoring in English and minoring in Spanish. I started out as an Aerospace engineering major. I switched because I just couldn't see myself really enjoying the coursework and the career. Sometimes I wish I hadn't switched (like when I flew an airplane for the first time last week), but usually I'm very very happy with my choice. I want to be a high school teacher. I'm majoring and minoring and taking extra fun classes as well.

I know a girl who has a double major and a minor (and maybe another minor), who also wants to take an extra couple language classes on the side. Just to prove that you can do whatever you want in college.

^yay, I'm in college park, too. haha, let's meet! lol

thanks, anymore?

I was a Mechanical Engineering major. Went to work in the Petroleum Industry.

If anything, I would have done EE or CS. A bit more cerebral.

I'm an aspiring maxilofacial surgeon.....

. lol

Communications. I can count the number of times I've been to campus this semester on two hands.

^^
That's sad.

A lot of people would probably love the opportunity to access the resources and intelligent minds to which you have access.

I'm a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering. I hate it; I hate everything about it. It seems like everything is all about heat and energy. Maybe, it's just my engineering thermo class, but that class just makes me want to change my major so bad. :(

major: economics
Minor: accounting

I really enjoy economic, but I hate accounting the only reason I'm minor in so I can tale the CPA exam and have a job out of college in case.

Im majoring in Electrical Engineering. I love it but not sure i can handle it. If i switch major, i have no idea which major to switch to...

Athletic Training here
4.5 semesters til graduation :)

I'm majoring in Civil Engineering, but I'm not sure I can handle it because I always get exam scores that are about 8 points below the average or I get average scores. I'm really worried that I'm only going to be average/below average among everyone in my major, but I know that I'm above average in math.

I started out Mechanical Engineering but I despise physics and discovered drugs so I switched to biochemistry...I quite like it, but it's pretty tough at times.

Sounds like your GPA needs some padding. Easy A's are hiding every which way. Pretty much anything that involves extra credit.

Electrical engineering. This is the only major that I can handle.
I can't think of any other major that is better for me.

I definitely want to do some electrical engineering jobs after graduated. This is what I'm trained to do.
