So, I'll be ending the quarter soon and I have finals coming up. I'm currently a cc student and I'm looking to transfer to a local state college (SJSU). I have a feeling I may end up failing two of my current classes. It's my fault and I will own up to that, but I need some help and knowledge. I need to apply this coming November/December to get in Fall of 2014. I'm currently going through my Social and Behavioral units I need along with some PE and art class. I will be attending my current community college for the next few quarter minus the coming summer quarter. My question is, will I get accepted to my 4 year despite the most likely F's? I'm currently maintaining a 3.3~ GPA and all my other grades are fine. Would my 4 year accept me/give me a chance to make up the classes or am I stuck with it?

Most 4-year schools have a min. GPA for transfer students. Will these failed classes drop your GPA below the min. GPA of SJSU?

I’m going to assume that you’re talking about San Jose State University if so, the minimum GPA for transfer students is a 2.0 for in-state students. Try not to fail those two classes if you can. If not, can you take them over for the summer? OR you should do an academic renewal, so it would be like you never took those classes. That way it wouldn’t affect your GPA.
