I am a senior and my apps for all my schools are complete BUT I just got amazing news that my poetry was accepted for publication in a major national lit magazine (I will receive payment too!). I also recently got one of my spanish essays published in a national periodical. Is it too late to notify admissions?!! I'm talking about these schools in particular: Brown, Cornell, Upenn, Columbia, Swarthmore, Haverford. I'm kinda freaking out. I really want admissions to see this stuff, but I don't know if they will. What should i do?

well, send it in...if they look at it great, if not, you are no worse off....

I don't understand your question...they will never see it if you don't send it....the school will decide if they have the time or the inclination to file it and use it....

Why the freek out?

Send it.... but FAX it.... nothing ventured, nothing gained. Get it out ASAP!

If I were you I'd just call the admissions offices ASAP.

I had something new to add to my Miami application yesterday, so I emailed a rep and she told me to email back the new info ASAP.

I'd call and ask!
