It wouldn’t make any sense for someone to pay “back pay” to someone who was not officially hired and not on the payroll for that specific timeframe. <p>There are too many holes in the OP’s story. My suggestion is for the OP to chalk this up to a “learning experience” and move on. It’s time for the OP to let go of the old school and focus on the new school.</p>
