...but, I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box when it comes to Math. Is it feasible to self-study for it by December? If so, what prep. guides should I invest in?

I also took AP Biology last year (Junior Year), and I think I am going to do the biology subject test. I got a 4 on the AP Bio test, with no preparation..would it be possible for me to self-study to get somewhere above a 700 on the subject test? I have the Cliffs book for Biology, but are there other ones that I should look at?

Thanks in advance :)

Yeah, 4 in AP Bio sounds sufficient for a decent 700s score on the Bio SAT II - which should be a breeze for you!

There are numerous suggestions for Math IIC prep books (and yes, it's definitely possible to prep for the December test, I haven't even started prepping for the November test) but it really DEPENDS on if you've learned the material before - ie, have you taken precalculus & trig at an honor or even regular level? If the words sin, cos and tan seem foreign to you, I'd reconsider taking the IIC... Did you do well in the class and understand the material?

If so, all you need is a basic review of that material and you'll do fine. IMO, the Math IIC is a lot more basic in style and logic then the IC - very straightfoward questions - if you know your stuff, then you're good to go.

ANYHOW BOOKS. I used Barrons, ridiculously stupid overprep that didn't really help me at all. I've heard PR is good for practically anything, and get the OFFICIAL SAT SUBJECT book released by CB - it's the best thing you've got!
