i really want to go to duke
but i'm afraid it'll take a miracle T.T</p>

<ol>
<li>highest culmulative sat 2190</li>
<li>weighted gpa = 3.9-4.0 (under top 10%)
but this year i have a 4.4 gpa cause i'm taking ap calc, physics, and chem (i'm strongest at these) - apush murdered me last year</li>
<li>im afraid my essay is not outstanding</li>
<li>i have a legitimate research abstract</li>
<li>i show highest interest in attending (lived there in childhood, really want to be part of pep/march band)</li>
<li>late father's legacy</li>
<li>sat math=770; bio=700; apush=630</li>
<li>over 12 hours / week in extracurricular activities</li>
<li>my application doesn't show any real passion in a subject</li>
</ol>

<p>dec 1. recommended deadline for arts supplement screwed my application essay over.</p>

<p>I encourage you to not make excuses. Other kids were working on their essays and supplements at the end of their junior year and/or summer.</p>
