Hello, I'm currently a sophomore and I need your help. I REALLY want to get into a good school and I would consider myself a failure if I didn't. But the thing is, I don't try to do it. I'm always told, "you could be a 95 student if you just stop being lazy". I want to work on Wall Street as a Trader or Banker and to do this I pretty much need to go to a top 10 school. I try to use this to motivate me but I just don't get motivated. What do you guys do to be successful? I'm REALLY competitive in school but I can't get myself to do my homework and study outside of school. Any tips?

Have someone slap you in the face whenever you get off track.

No, but really, sometimes what I’ll do, is I’ll buy a crapload of candy and reward myself for studying or doing my homework for an x amount of time.

Make a little award system for yourself.

So, you’re hellbent on getting into an extremely prestigious school, but you need to come to a High School Life forum for motivation tips?

Umm…

(Now let it work. Mischief, thou art afoot,
Take thou what course thou wilt!)
