i need your help in deciding!! probably going to get rejected from everywhere

Hi guys, I am currently a junior in high school and I am going crazy about college admission and stuff. I REALLY REALLY want to go to CMU for its engineering, but the more and more I read, I feel like I'm going to get rejected from every school I apply to. Here are my stats:
(tough schedule in consideration too)

Unweighted GPA: 3.783
SAT REASONING: 2130
(Math: 760 WR: 710 CR: 660)

SAT SUBJECT:
Biology: 720
Math IIC: 730
Physics: 700

Extra Creds:
Community Service: 220hrs
Microsoft Internship*
Habitat for Humanity and Ronald McDonald

Major: Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with CS

Schools: Carnegie Mellon", USC", UCSD", Purdue", UT Austin, Boston University, UIUC.

*pending
" top choices

Purdue is a safety, theres no way your getting rejected

No, you're definitely not going to be rejected from all the schools on your list. Given your current stats and ECs, you'd almost certainly get into BU, UIUC, and Purdue. Probably USC as well. If you live in-state, you're also in at UT Austin if you're in the top 10% in your class. Finally, Carnegie Mellon is, I think, a match, so you probably have a 50/50 chance there. Getting your SATs up to 2200 would really help you though. Just one word of caution. EE and CS at CMU are really, really tough. If you apply, and you're accepted, you've got to be prepared to work your butt off.

UCSD, if instate you'd have a very good shot too--oos would be match i think

yahoo12:

Asssuming you are a California resident,
UCSD: Match (Engineering)

CMU might be a reach

CMU Reach,
Engineering is much harder to get into than any of the other colleges,
except Comp Sci

what can i do in order to get into cmu? and i was wondering how is cmu a reach? I saw on their admission stats from last year, and my stats for CIT are above it in every area, and admit rate is 47%, how is it a reach? please go in detail.

you sat's is only average, and lacking a bit for ec's

USC is a sure in because u had an internship at Microsoft wow that's impressive you should of boosted your chances by doing an interview and explaining that and not only that but engineering is not a popular major it's usually business
