I need your positive supports

Good point, limabeans.

Wait wait!! If there is money to be made starting threads…hire ME! My kids are out of college.

My family is fairly frugal on a day-to-day basis. They really don’t go out to eat (unless it’s a very special occasion and a coupon is available), the AC is used sparingly (and only for the benefit of grandma), and we don’t buy high-end fancy foods.

On my end of things, I don’t have a license nor have ever had any desire to cruise around in a car. I have a nice bike at home which I ride everywhere, so the parents don’t have to waste any time or gas on getting me to the doctor’s office, etc. I only thrift store (or free store!) shop and take the train instead of the plane as often as possible when traveling back and forth from school (and for much less money, if not travel time). Each year, I work 2-3 jobs during the school year to meet my end of the bargain. Granted, I do have a few splurge items for backpacking and camping that I bought during college as my family as a whole never liked the outdoors-- imagine their disappointment at my decision to study ecology/field science–but I intend to use them for their full lifespan.
