I think you have a great chance, but isn't the college the school that offers CS?

dude, you applied to the wrong school...

I think the last two posts are jsut being sarcastic. SEAS is the one with Computer Science. lol

no... if you look on the website, it lists computer science under the college, if it's an engineering field it's under www.seas.upenn.edu

like chemical engineering is www.seas.upenn.edu/cbe
www.cis.upenn.edu is cs

Computer Science is part of SEAS.

Quoted from the CIS website:
"The Computer & Information Science Department is part of the School of Engineering and Applied Science."

Link: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/departmental/visiting.shtml

wow, didn't open it lol, i looked at the website and didn't see it under the list!

sorry to worry you jabbermouth (foot in mouth*)

jabbermouth has committed suicide

they screwed up my major anyway. my interviewer thought i was Biomed...we checked online (the interview was at my house) and it said what i applied for: applied science program in computer science.

In retrospect though, guys, i think you're right, i should have applied to the college (especially with the 40+% increase in SEAS.

Regardless, what do y'all think abou the chances otherwise. Keep in mind the error on the app that i had to send a fax to correct (nothing to do with the major)

I think SEAS is still easier to get into than the college, even after the huge increase..

does anyone else think its cool that he/she won the penn book award. salivates

yea... how come penn doesn't offer that to every school? we only had the wellsley book award, and well... i'm not a female, but i took home the bausch and lomb honorary science award, decent consolation prize lol

but i am jealous

haha the bausch and lomb award is very prestigious i believe.

any other thoughts on the chances? (i know it no longer matters but i never actually got to experience this aspect of my CC adolescence).

If you dont get in ill cry...b/c then i wont get in either lol

Phew, for a minute I thought that you were applying to the College (in which case that's one more applicant to make me look bad).

You have a great shot, it would seem.

lol i guess that's a good sign. i'll keep my fingers crossed until judgement day

You are me. I'm applying comp sci too. I was the top geo student. We both play piano. AND I GOT THE PRESIDENTIAL PHYSICAL FITNESS AWARD BOOya.
