So what scores should i fill out on the common application? Whast the point of those spaces if Emory will see a full collegeboard score report anyway?

i dont think the person who checks to see if u really got the scores u said u did is the same person looking at ur application to accept/deny u. the person who makes the decisions probably goes by what u wrote.

so will that person who makes the decision pick my highest three scores from the report? Or will I have to make that call by filling in 3 top scores on my common apps? Or I won't have to put any cause Emory doesn't require any SAT2s.

Everything you send to Emory will go into your admission file. At the least 3 admission officers will read your enitire file. Then, a committee will sit and discuss your file and a decision on your admission will be made. They look at everything that is in your file and will see all the numbers that you send them or that the college board sends. However...

A poor score on an SAT 2 doesn't matter, they will just disregard it, unless you are a homeschooled student (because they require SAT2s for homeschooled kids). If you didn't do well and still don't want them to see it, just don't send your scores. It's not required, so don't send it if they're not up to par.

In my opinion, an 800 on chinese isn't going to make or break your application, so don't sent it. There are a lot of native speakers of Taiwanese/Chinese at Emory. There are a lot of international students from the East.

i agree with dgebll, i don't think an 800 on chinese is really going to impress emory, they have plenty of chinese and international students at bucknell, however if you think you are going to regret sending them just do it, i dont think it can hurt it, and your scores aren't bad at all, they just aren't amazing
