i OFFICIAL May 2008 SAT I Results !

One omit/fill-in wouldn't affect the raw score any differently than one wrong on the multiple choice though. The raw score of -1.25 would still round up to the same integer as -1. Unless the system is different than what the scoring guide in the blue book tells me it is. Regardless, that 790 is an anomaly.

Why does it matter anyway?
EVERYONE knows there's not a big difference between 780, 790 or an 800!
It's all about luck.

I Got An 1850

O M G.

I Am So Happy. I Expected 1600, 1700-ish

Congrats, you're no longer an SAT virgin.
:D
AND according to you... it was satisfactory. :p

It was ridiculous. 300 point increase. All I did was practice tests from the blue book. New composites are 800 Math, 760 CR, and 730 Writing. 12 Essay! I was absolutely stunned! Thanks to everyone on the site who helped out!

kayleealia, i would give you my math skills in turn for your CR and writing skills

690 M, 560 CR, 640 W, 9 essay

Here's the chatroom to discuss your scores: Study Chat Rooms |

1290/1900

CR 680
M 610
W 610 (8 Essay)

I'm sorta satisfied with my score. I really wanted to get a 700 in CR, but eh what can ya do right? I'm really happy that I broke 600 with Math at least, cause I usually get 550s lol. I knew my writing score was going to be bad cause my essay was horrible. (I hated that stupid technology topic <_<)

I'm a Junior, first time, going to retake it again in Oct in time for NYU ED. If I can get 700 in CR and break 1300, I think I'll be okay. I'm applying to Tisch Film so my academic side won't be as harshly reviewed anyway.

Btw I'm an asian guy, every other asian in my school got like 700 math and 500 CR. Well, at least I stand out right? lol

^ good job!

LOL yes, I found the experience quite rewarding :D

hahaha, thank you! I was really surprised by my writing score, and kinda unpleasantly surprised by the math, haha.

Thanks! Man, sometimes I wish can just bring a smart asian along to take my math section for me.

to bimachris: you improved ur score from 1290 to 1900 from march to may!!!????? Thats like a 600+ increase great job!

1390/2020

720 CR
670 M
630 WR ( 8 Essay.............W.T.F. :[ )

Seriously, though. I'm a bit ticked off. All of my practice tests from my prep courses gave me 700+ on the writing with 10-12 essays. I want a refund. :(

1450/2250

700 CR
750 M
800 W (11 essay)

So happy! First and last time taking it.

3400

3000 CR
200 M
200 W (0 Essay)

Oh man I'm so nervous for the June SAT. I always fail on the CR Section:(

i am so happy!

M:800
CR:750
W:760
Essay:10

Composite:2310

I'm ecstatic! In march i took it and got 2000.

i'm still wondering how i got one wrong in math and got a 780, while narcissa got one wrong and got a 790

(i know that one wrong in the fill-in counts as an omit, but the -1 and the -1.25 are the same because the scores are rounded up)

^Are detailed scores in yet? Because you might have gotten two wrong, you know...

And great job, Narcissa. I wouldn't worry much about not getting 2400. And definitely go for HPYS. A 2300 is high enough for them (check the averages).

What? No no, I meant I got a 1290 out of 1600 and a 1900 out of 2400. :P Hahaha that would be crazy though, for something to get a 600 point increase. I don't even think its possible, unless you fell asleep or something on your first time lol

I'm so jealous of you all. I still haven't received my score.....

Umm, there's different curves for different forms of the test.
