u are r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d

unless...

1) ETS shipped your test paper to Mexico,
2) ETS scantron malfunctions and gives you a max score,

Cancel now.

You have to send in some stuff by mail (not e-mail) before next Wednesday.

If I were the person who would view your application material,I would not help being shocked by an approximate 200 on any section on any test date.A 200 anteceded by a 700, for instance, could do even more than that. And I don't think shocking such a person is a good idea.

Yeah, u should definitely cancel.

dude don't listen to these idiots. I did the same thing this time around cept I skipped all math and did all critical reading.

colleges seriously don't care. period.

Guys, the probability of being someone who gets a 200 but gets a 700+ is slime to none.

As for the poster, check with the schools to make sure its the highest scores from each test. Many school require your best score from a single sitting in which case yes you have wasted your time. Otherwise it wont mean diddly

Yeah cancel now, unless you're a senior and all your other scores are terrible.

Thank you merudh123.
You other guys, what is it with you? Seriously?

Uh, common sense? Obviously, the people here have more knowledge than you, considering you're the one who asked. Then you get a ton of answers that tell you what a stupid decision it was and you act like the one person who agreed with you is right?

Colleges don't like slackers. Period.

then why don't colleges consider people who have bad gpa's but good scores slackers.... lol sorry im in a post SAT (grumpy) mood. maybe..... people who don't score well just forget a page or 2 of their 2nd to last math section because they're so excited about it being almost over...

guys this is the real world. If a college says they will take the highest from any sitting they will take the highest. They don't have time to factor in all kinds of things like slacking off and what not.

But seb, just to be safe, do what I'm doing and email the admissions of the college you are applying to and tell them that you didn't feel well on the day you took the test in which you got a 200 and so you did your best on whatever section you needed to do better on.

I emailed one of the adcoms of one of the colleges I am applying to and he replied, "It's ok. We will only see the highest from each section."

When he said we, he meant the people who actually look at your application.

I just don't understand why you didnt just take the CR sections. Might as well have given it a shot.

what about if u got a 770 first time and then a 670, will colleges see that as a fluke?

lol wow, you crazy kid
i mean i understand if you were tired, the sat is too damn long, but you should've at least tried 1 of the CR sections.
colleges will probably think you are lazy and that already puts you in the red zone.

CRbomber650, your name is discouraging, CR is my worst part .. . :(
i flippin hate the passages, and the pointless words you have to memorize that unless you want to become a major writer, will never use, and i hate how there's like 3 sections of it . . CR ruins my entire score.

If you omit a whole section, you get a 400, not a 200. The only way to go below 400 is to acculmulate negative points by answering quesitons incorrectly.

what did you do just sit there for an hour or more while other people were doing?

you are stupid

wait a sec...hasn't the January test cancellation deadline already passed? (someone correct me if i am wrong)

crbomber u idiot look at the date of OP

dude...CHILL OUT!!

It's not that big of a deal, most colleges take your highest scores dude. LOL I love how all of you dumbasses are overanalyzing the situation and are assuming that colleges will think the OP is a slacker. I doubt adcoms even care and they'll probably accept him based on the subjective factors in his application like recs/essays now that he has a good GPA and a decent SAT score.

Besides, it would show off the OP's sense of humor and calm to Harvard if he bomed SAT CR after nailing it on a previous testing date. Maybe it will show admissions officers how retarded standardized tests are...;)
