@CheddarcheeseMN there is no golden major, but I specifically was referring to my major (business management) and why that is such an issue is that if I choose to transfer then I have to register for particular courses now to even be eligible !
Hello everyone! I just thought I’d give an update for any future readers of this thread! I ended up getting off of the waitlist for UVA and am so excited!! I’d especially like to thank @oldfort because I did exactly what you said regarding the packet and it worked !! Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and helpful throughout this process and I hope this thread can help anyone in the future who is struggling with college decisions or is facing the waitlist!!

Glad you got off the wait list, quite an achievement.
Note I know someone who went to UMD for economic reasons, got into PhD at Yale and Northwestern when
they graduated. Just remember, what you do in undergrad is more important than which one you attend.
Work hard at UVA as you did in HS.
