I only have $30, what SAT book should I buy?

I only have $30. I dont know what I should buy. Im considering Rocket Review or Barrons How to prepare for the SAT

assuming you already have the blue book, in my opinion the second best is kaplan 2400.

is there any specific subject you need to work on?

You should buy Official Guide and a practice book like 11 Practice Tests.

Princeton Review 11 Practice Sets.

no mostly definitely not 11 practice SATs it is not accurate at all. if you want more practice tests get the online course, but thats about 75 bucks. worth it though.

Umm, all of you guys are wrong.

If he already has the “Blue Book” then he has 10 tests already. Getting Princeton 11 tests would be useless since he needs some strategies.

For your $30, I strongly recommend "Rocket Review Revolution 06-07). It will be one of the BEST books you will ever get. The Critical Reading and Writings tips are AMAZING, PHENOMENAL, or however you want to put it.

Hope that helps.

P.S. I have the Princeton 11. I’m not saying it’s terrible but it’s only good if you already have the strategies and have depleted the tests on Blue Book.

Princeton Review’s 11 sets, I think, most accurately reflect the actual difficulties of the exam.

the Bible can help with the SAT a lot

^ LOL.

Epic.

As for your 30 bucks, I definitely concur with Quicksandslowy… Rocket Review all the way!
[Amazon.com: The Rocket Review Revolution : The Ultimate Guide to the New SAT and the PSAT 2005-2006 Edition: Adam Robinson: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Rocket-Review-Revolution-Ultimate-2005-2006/dp/045121644X)

You can get used ones for like 5 bucks!
:)

Other than that, definitely buy the CollegeBoard Blue Book (if you don’t have one), and buy either Kaplan 2400 or Barron’s 2400. Helped me a lot!

wow i wish i had bought rocket review; i didn’t, and i took my SATs already, but they could’ve made studying less painful

You can also check out your local library, they may carry these review books as well.

Barron 2400, if that’s what u are aiming for

I bought Gruber’s (Math, Writing), Rocketreview (Writing, Critical Reading), and Barron’s 2400 (Generally everything) for 30-35 dollars. If you buy them all off of Amazon at one time you don’t have to pay shipping, so you save some money there too.

This is assuming that you already have the “essential” blue book. If you’re practicing for the SAT, there is no excuse for not using it.

save it, borrow from friends :)

im trying to strongly improve in math and polis my CR. I dont own the blue book.

I might buy RR and then buy Barrons once I get more money.

Definitely get

1) Blue Book - this is your first priority
2) Rocket Review - excellent for CR and writing
3) Barrons or Grubers - Grubers is really good for Math.
