I only have 6 classes as a Sophomore

The limit at my school is 7, and I'm taking 6.

Honors Algebra 2/Trig
Honors English 10
AP European History
AP Human Geography
AP Chemistry
Online P.E. (Outside of school, no impact on GPA.)

I can get a 5.0 GPA next year, but I see lots of people with 8 classes. Will this be a disadvantage for me?

The limit at your school’s 7 classes. You’re compared to how much you challenged yourself relative to what is available at your school. If your school offers two AP’s and you take them both, it looks good. If they offer 7 and you take 2, it doesn’t. If you think you’re doing the most you can with what is available, no, it is not a disadvantage at all.

MHm, I hear Princeton looks particularly favorably on taking gym online.

^
Really?

Well, I’m taking the most amount of APs in my grade level. (AP Human Geography is an elective, and the 6 next highest people are taking 2.) I’m just worried that I might have too heavy of a course load to add another class. I could take Spanish 2… But that would require a lot of time. I’m not sure if I can handle it. I’m thinking of doing it over the summer instead.

I got so uncomfortable about it that I added AP Physics.

AP Physics

LOL online gym…i mean gym is stupid and has no place in school, but ONLINE?!? Care to explain?

It was a joke…

^
Nope. Dead serious. BYU offers an online P.E. program.

Wow you got to be kidding me. You’re worried that you only have 6 classes as a sophomore? 6 is normal.
