I opened a forum for Math 110 this semester

Hi,

I opened a forum for the Math 110 linear algebra class at Berkeley this semester as I don't like study groups, having to arrange for meetings... and also for I find this kind of online discussion groups being very useful in my other classes (Google Groups for my cs61c or bSpace forums for my other classes); I wonder why there isn't one for this particular class.

The site is at All Questions - Math 110

I hope you can let more people know about this site and make it (potentially) more useful.
Thanks!

How do you find the class so far?

It’s so strange going from lower div math classes with sections 3 times a week to upperdiv where section is only once a week. Furthermore, the prof seems to be covering stuff at a very fast pace. We’re already done with Chapter 1 and according to the schedule posted, we will be done with Chapter 2 by next week. The first MT also seems to coming up really soon (10 Feb).

It seems chapter 1 is just a recap of Math 54; it probably is reasonable. Though I took the equivalent of math 54 in fall 2009, so the material is certainly being covered too fast for me : (

well, I’m a transfer student and my only other “math” class - cs70 discrete math had only one section, but the class isn’t so fast paced.

it’s not coffee, it’s wine. i’d put money down on it.
