Schools I want to apply to:
Harvard SCEA (Out of reach for anyone and chances are extremely slim but it's been a dream)
Boston University
NYU
Barnard College
Wellesley
Bryn Mawr
Dartmouth
Smith College
Brown
Yale
Princeton
ASU
University of Rutgers
Penn State
U Penn
Cornell
Columbia

....I know so many but don't be pressured to do them all! Just do some if you like!! I would really appreciate it and I would be more than happy to chance any of you back!!!

Harvard as you said would be a reach since it is so selective. Same with Dartmouth, UPenn, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and Brown. However, you have a definite chance of getting in one of them due to your URM status, Cornell would thus be a low reach/high match, NYU a match, and Rutgers/Penn State low matches/safeties. All your extracurriculars and test scores are fine, and its good that you have a passion for educating children. I don’t know how many volunteer hours you have, but more is always better. Also make sure your essay is more about you than your parents, as colleges are looking for your personal qualities and why you are unique. That being said, definitely mention your past life difficulties with living conditions since it defined your actions for so long. Remember to get around 750 or better for your subject tests. Good Luck!

Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1665448-chance-me-please-low-gpa-high-test-scores-will-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

A lot of people before have warned me about that on the essay but after having it reviewed by teachers and friends, they said that it seemed to convey more about me than it did about mom or the divorce. So hopefully I think I should be okay on that!!

I think your choice of schools are either within reach or are far reaches, like the Ivy Leagues. Just make sure you have some safety schools just in case. Your stats look very good, with a great ACT and SAT, but your UW GPA should be a little higher. You have many ECs which is great, and I think your essay will be splendid (sorry about what has happened to you :(. But I think you will do great and will be accepted into at least one of these schools.

BU, ASU, Rutgers, Penn State are safety
NYU is a match
You have a shot at Harvard SCEA, but make sure essays are great
You should get into 1-2 ivy leagues
chance back-http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1665744-accounting-chances.html?new=1</a></p>

Harvard- High Reach
BU- Match
NYU- High Match, but give really bad financial aid
Barnard College- High Match
Wellesley- High Match
Bryn Mawr- Match
Dartmouth- High Reach
Smith College- Match
Brown- High Reach
Yale- High Reach
Princeton- High Reach
ASU- Safety if in state
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY- Safety if in state
Penn State- Safety if in state
U Penn- High Reach
Cornell- High Reach
Columbia- High Reach
(How could you possibly have Cornell and Columbia on the same list?)

I’d say you have a decent chance of getting into maybe 2 or 3 of the Ivies. I can’t imagine why anyone would apply to all of them though. You have way to many reaches on this list. You need more safeties and FINANCIAL safeties. If you aren’t instate for ASU, Rutgers, or Penn State, they will be out of reach for you.

@AnnieBeats Oh, I’m not applying to all of these schools, there are far too many and can you imagine all those supplements, my god! No, I probably will pick a good ten to twelve out of this list and apply to those. My safeties are the in-state schools which is ASU, NAU, U of A. Thank you so much though for the advice, financial safeties are a huge deal for me and people should be including them a lot more on their list!

@bjjvja27 Oh don’t be sorry  I learned a lot from the experience and I can say that I truly am a stronger person. I extremely appreciate the reply!! :)
