I plan to apply early to stanford or MIT

I plan to early decision or early action, whatever it is, one of these schools.
which one do u recommend?
I really like both schools so I wanna go for the one with more chance.
any suggestions?

Just looking at Stanford EA last year was disgusting; just utterly brutal. I’d go MIT.

Play the percentages and go with the higher % of admits for ED/EA.

so which one has higher percentage
that is what i need to know

Depends on the area of study. MIT kills in all things physical/mathematical (overall sciences and engineering)

MIT and Stanford have very different views of the EA process. Stanford attempts to give as many final decisions as possible. Thus there are many rejections. MIT is the opposite and defers more than it rejects during the early action phase. So you will be more likely to have a final decision from Stanford, but also there is more of a possibility of dashed hopes to live with for the following 3 months. With MIT you will be more likely to continue to have hope for an additional 3 months. Another factor is that EA at MIT is not single choice so you can EA somewhere else so long as the other school also allows it. This give you more early opportunities. Whereas Stanford allows only one EA unless the other college is a rolling admission school or , I believe is a public school that provides a special early approval (check this though as I am not sure).
These are two very important factors to consider when selecting your early action schools. Much more important than the perceived higher admit rate for EA students since the EA pool is a self-selected high-achieving lot.
