<p>Have you thought about the University of Pittsburgh? It would be a reach for you with your current GPA, but perhaps there are factors that explain why it isn’t higher (difficult freshman year, very challenging courseload, health or personal problems). Your ACT and SAT are comfortably within Pitt’s middle 50th percentile. The disconnect between scores and GPA will have to be explained, but if there’s a good reason, you’d have a decent chance at being admitted. You can increase that chance by applying very early this fall, since admissions at Pitt are rolling, and by going all-out to raise your GPA first semester, in case you’re deferred.</p>
