My school doesn’t have minuses or pluses, just plain letter grades.

A: 89.5-100
B: 79.5-89.4
C: 69.5-79.4
D: 59.5-69.4
E: 0-59.4

screw grades/courseload rigor/ec’s that everyone bses anyways

i propose that admissions should be based on SATI and SATII scores. and maybe AP scores as a backup. EVERYTHING SHOULD BE STANDARDIZED!!!

I’m just waiting for a Collegeboard brain scan. 24$ for each college you send the results to, of course.

^Yeah, Collegeboard must be making TONS of money off of us. I mean, it’s not like we have a choice in whether we want to take their tests or not, it’s required. They have a monopoly. <<< Isn’t that against the law though? The government should break collegeboard up, for the good of all.

Not a monopoly. You can take the ACT.

what about the subject tests and the AP tests? I don’t think you can take those anywhere else.

^Exactly. Also, aren’t there some colleges out there that only accept SAT scores and not ACT?

Gotta say I’m so glad that I’m not at a school that uses the percentage system. I am the master of pulling off 89.5’s and 92.5’s. I would hate it if colleges got to see quantitative examples of how much I slack off…

Some schools didn’t require subject tests if you take the ACT, but maybe that has changed.

Our school has the easiest grading system ever.

86-100 = A
73- 85 = B
65 - 73 = C+
60- 65 = C
65 - 50 = C-
below 50 = fail

lol

Every American college now accepts the ACT.

Our grading system is:

93-100= A
90-92=A-
88-90=B+
83-87=B
80-82=B-
and so on down to 59 and below=F

Getting rid of the B+ would accomplish nothing. There still would be some letter grade below the grade you want (e.g. B below an A-), and people would still complain if they got that one grade below the A.

I have an 89.7% in honors chem, the only thing holding me back from a 4.0. ahh, oh wells!

On our transcripts, they show up as B+. o.O

But in South Carolina, they don’t have the +/- system at all. They simply have:
A 93-100
B 85-92
C 77-84
D 70-76
F 69-0

I hate that system.

I think F should be 49.999999 or lower.

My school’s grading system though is:
A+ 97-100 A 93-96 A- 90-92
B+ 87-89 B 83-86 B- 80-82
C+ 77-79 C 73-76 C- 70-72
D+ 67-69 D 63-66 D- 60-62
F 59 and belowww (including negatives)

same here .
