I propose...

To make a Berkeley FAQ. All I see on this board are reposts asking the same question over and over again. I ask if I can have a stickied thread. I would be the author, and the thread would be open, so any comments/questions/improvements could be posted, and I would update the FAQ (the first post) to accomodate such changes. Then the suggestion would be deleted from the thread, so that the thread wouldn’t accumulate redundant data, and remain fresh.

I did that already.... and I got alternatively praised and chastied. I'll post an updated version if anyone would like it...

yeah post it, maybe we can get this thread stickied. In which case, you shouldn't have titled this thread "I propose...", but rather "Berkeley FAQ"

andrew, if you could give me a copy I'll update it and make a new thread (this goes to kratos too)

it's a bit hard giving information that everybody will agree on (is doubling suicide, hows the food, what dorms are the best), as many questions here are subjective, but I could try my best

Everything is subjective, except maybe the dorm stuff and classes to take and not to take. That's all I listen to.

looking at the first page of this forum it looks like more than a few people are looking for objective information...

Meh. If you want objective, read the guide books or look it up on the websites. This is all subjective by default - but that's the fun! It's all a 100% Gonzo-worthy, digging-of-the-people session!

That is meant to be more objective, but is inherently subjective, as are all people.
