I was admitted to materials engineering
But I thought it was 10-12 gpa like the rest of the cal state schools so I put a 4.12
I calculated gpa for 9-12 and its 4.03, .09 points lower
What do I do? I really like slo.

They calculate your GPA based on 9-11 A -G classes.
@LookAtThisNet Don’t worry. They calculate your gpa themselves, so as long as you didn’t misreport grades, you are fine. Congrats!
@hopeyhippie we did the same thing, we followed the csu mentor app instructions for freshman and it states do not use freshman grades for gpa calcuations so we used the weighted 10-12 gpa on the transcript which was a 4.18. Not sure how to even calculate the correct gpa for 9-11 A-G classes. the classes and grades for each class were correctly entered. do you think this will be an issue?
@CAMOM888 I contacted the school directly about this, and they told me that the only thing that matters is that you report the grades; they do their own calculation.
@CAMOM888 you could use the rogerhub gpa calculator https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/ to calculate your Cal Poly GPA. Be sure to also include freshman grades in your count of A-G course grades. Use a total of 8 semesters max for weighted courses.
If there’s a substantial difference, for instance if someone lies and they put 3.9 and CP calculates 2.9, it will make a difference. Otherwise it won’t likely change the MCA score that much.
