Yeah, stupid, I know, but I registered for collegeboard a long time ago and didn't know to put my legal name, so I put my preferred name. So, I called collegeboard and got my name changed yesterday. The problem is, I sent out my last score report in June, and I don't really want to pay $50 to send it again with my corrected name. What should I do? Call the college and tell them?

You don't really want to pay or you can't pay? Because... you made a mistake, so it'd be logical to change it at any cost. But that's just me. Try to call the college and see what they say. If they just say okay, then you're good, but you may need to resend.

Not only does college board assign you an identification number, eveything is cross checked with your social security number. Also, college applications ask if you have used any other names. You should be fine, but call the admissions office to be sure.
