I really don't like Adam Lambert.

The dude just creeps me out. And he can't sing. At all.

Then don’t watch American Idol?

nah brah he’s better than kris. maybe you’re homophobic ?

If Adam is not gay, I’ll be surprised.

Both of them are marketable. Kris appeals to all age groups, whereas Adam is very appealing to the preteen to young adult age group.

Anoop was my favorite =)

Adam actually has a different voice than everyone else–this season was refreshing to watch because of the diversity in vocal talent. Previously, it’s just been all of the girls singing the same way and all of the guys singing the same way.

I’ve never been much of an American Idol fan past the auditions, though. I enjoy So You Think You Can Dance much, MUCH better!

What do you mean, he can’t sing? He has a very good voice and is actually interesting for a change. I don’t watch the show, but have been generally unimpressed by past winners.

And yes, Adam appears to be gay. Google image him. Maybe he just likes the taste of other men’s lips.

ha! the weirdo lost! go kris allen. =]

Lambert is overrated.

NO, I’m going to have to disagree with that.
Adam has great pipes, better than Kris and he definitely deserved to win.
Even Kris admitted that he didn’t deserve the title as much as Adam did.
Plus, Simon was pretty disappointed when Kris won; he didn’t even smile or stand up when they announced his name unlike the other 3 judges.

Adam’s screams got worse and worse with each show.

That being said, he has more talent than Kris, but I’d much rather listen to whatever Kris would record as opposed to Adam most of the time.

Plus, how can you forget the AWFUL “ring of fire?”…Sorry, most of his performances were good–>great, but that was just soooo bad.

Wow, you just calling him a weirdo just shows how relevant and legit your opinion is…

Definitely supported Kris all the way, but can’t stand the people who didn’t like Adam because of his orientation, his style of clothing, or their envy of his humongous range.

Gokey was the way to go

That being said, he has more talent than Kris, but I’d much rather listen to whatever Kris would record as opposed to Adam most of the time.

Agreed.

Adam sounds like the lead singer of an 80s hair metal band. He has the chops and is super intense, but it just all sounds the same… like 80s hair metal.

Kris fits in with the Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson vibe that is popular now.

I know a lot of people who didn’t like Adam because of the way he screeched every high note that he “hit.” So.

Pretty much sums up my opinion.

I really, really love me some Glambert. I think he brought something to Idol that had never been there before, he made Idol more critic-friendly, and he generally made it much more interesting than previous seasons had been. I admire him tremendously as both an artist and a person.

That being said, I never quite enjoyed his screeching. Yes, he can hit notes that most singers simply cannot reach. But for me, that was never the point. The point was how he changed songs, how he presented them in a different way. I love his underappreciated lower range, and I think that, screeching aside, he’s got a very smooth, controlled voice.

So I’ll buy his album, and hope that there isn’t too much screaming.

Oh, and I LOVED his take on Ring of Fire. Very interesting.
