i REALLY hate this class. so much. Help me!

we need one business elective and one art elective so im taking my art one this year. since everything else was filled up, i chose photography. anyways, i HATE THIS CLASS.

i have NO friends in this class. everyones in their little groups, i tried to talk to people but nothing ever happens, i sit ALONE at a table while everyone else socializes.

we have to spend so much money on paper and film! its crazyyy and my mom wont pay for it so i have to.

im horrible at it! all my pictures turn out really bad and i just dont have an eye for photography. so why am i wasting my own money printing out horrible pictures that im just going to throw out? also i never do well on the tests so im getting a bad grade.

im not interested in photography at all! personally, i dont think it should be considered art.

its only half a semester but i dont think i can survive until then!
what should i do to make this class go by quicker?

Try talking to your teacher about the money thing. It would surprise me if he/she said your completely on your own with handling the costs if you explain your situation.

Drop it like it’s hot.

Darkroom photography really is expensive, which is why your school makes you pay. All the chemicals, paper, film, and matting supplies add up.

However, if you have no joy in photo, why did you choose it? You couldn’t have taken a foundations class or drawing?

If you do badly on the tests, just study more. :P

Isn’t half a semester already over by now?

Our school ended the first 9 weeks a week ago…

Anyways, quarter grades don’t really count on the transcript, only semester and final grades.

Oh no – I love photography…for a while I wanted to pursue it as a career. Darkroom photography is cool! It is time consuming and meticulous, but such an interesting and fun process. Try to take photos of things that captivate you, and think about your composition.

Where do you buy your film/paper from? If you are going to a local photo store or something, the prices are most likely exorbitant, compared to this site which I order my supplies from. [Freestyle Photographic Supplies - Traditional Black & White Film, Paper, Chemicals, Holgas and ULF](http://www.freestylephoto.biz/) Film is like $2.50, and paper is also cheaper. Good luck, you can do it!

We had to pay $10 for the photo paper and that was it. Cameras, Film, and chemicals were all provided.

If you really have that big of a problem, you could drop it i guess? I don’t see another way hah
