I could really see myself going to Chicago. But I am worried about the harsh grading effecting my chances to get into grad school. And I'm worried because Chicago has the reputation for the most rigorous curriculum in the US, maybe even the world. I'm scared. I guess I need some facts about GPA there and admit rates for grad school (not Law school or Med school or anything like that). I'd be looking to get an MA in Poli Sci if and when I graduated.

UofC is one of the top schools in the country for placing students in grad or professional school. A few years back, I have not seen the recent numbers, it was #1 in the country in students going to grad school within 3 years of graduation. I believe about 35% attend immediately upon graduation, with an additional 8% going immediately to med school, and another 8% immediately on to law school. That translates to over half going on to graduate or professional school immediately, with that number rising considerably over the next couple of years. (I personally would recommend a year off before going on to professional school, I believe business schools may require two of three years experience before attending.)

Thanks, that's quite comforting. I was just scared about my grades and their effect if I happened to go there.
