Thanks bluestar7. That waas very valuable advice. About reccs, although I havent had a meaningful job somewhere, I had been a summer camp counselor and a school assistant. I did both manual labor and technological repairs for a school and I was really close to the Principal that she even took me to a Yankees game. I think she loved me. I mean it was a great experience to help a school. I mean what I am saying is that it wasn't an academic, gifted quality that I presented but more of my personality and work ethic. Would Duke appreciate this in terms of a supplementary recc form a boss as you mentioned?

If it's personality and work ethic, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that will be one of the most beneficial supplementary things you can possibly send (assuming it's high praise, which you think it will be). It doesn't need to be purely academic, they're getting a great sense of that through your numbers, but having someone discuss you on a caring, human level-- really putting a face to your application-- is very worth it.
