my moms brother went to Sewanee hes rich now

Thanks cangel for your advice. Some of those schools do feel like good fits. Northstarmom, I wouldn't want to go to a city centre college, but I wouldn't mind one in the suburbs. Actually, I would probably most prefer a college in a small city of 500 thousand to 2 million people. I wouldn't want to go to a liberal college, but a moderate college with a wide range of viewpoints in students and faculty would be ideal. Also, do you know of any colleges that aren't highly Christian like Wheaton but still have a moral atmosphere? I do not want to go to a school where everybody drinks on the weekends.

oh man, what's wrong with drinking on the weekends?

I just don't have any desire to drink, except for maybe wine at meals. Heavy drinking can cause too many lifestyle problems. To clarify, I don't mind if there's some drinking; I just don't want to feel pressured into doing it to.

taogh,
A small city is not 500,000 to 2 million. That is considered a big city.
If you want a small city, that would be around 100,000 or fewer.

well then taoigh you definitely dont want to go to University of Florida....I'll be applying there though =)

I realize I was wrong to call that a small city, but those size cities just feel small to me. When my family lived in Ireland, we lived in a commute town just 30 minutes from the center of Dublin, a city of 1.4 million people. So I don't find cities of that size overwhelming. On the other hand, Chicago would take a bit of adjustment.

Does anybody else have any advice?

If you want to go to a Christian College the two top choices are simple:

Biola Universrity or Wheaton. Those are the two most respected actual colleges out there.

If you can deal with a more relaxed perspective then Pepperdine or Baylor are good fits.
