I really need help...any advice??

I am desperate to have my SAT scores break 2100 by the october test date. I am planning to study all summer. I took the SAT's in March and did terrible
CR: 460 (I crash and burn in critical reading)
Math: 510
Writing:470
I took my June SAT's and I am pretty sure I did better. THe thing is I took a Kaplan course back in April and I personally thought it did not do much. I have these two Kaplan book ( one containing 8 practice test, and another called "Raise you score even Higher").
I was planning to study from these book but I see alo of people not recommending it.
What books should I use to get up to 2100?
I was thinking Barron's 2400 and the Blue Book.
Any advice or other book suggestions?
I really appreciate it

Definitely the BB and definitely not Kaplan. I really think you should take a look at the Rocket Review and PR's Cracking the SAT. Both books are quite good. I would also recommend that you get a copy of Direct Hits Vocabulary. I believe it will really help improve your vocabulary and raise your CR score.
(Direct Hits Publishing - Lulu.com) Good luck!

For critical reading, you really need to improve your vocabulary. I used PR's hit list parade of words, but really anything with the list of vocab words will do wonders. This entire summer, make flashcards, memorize, rewrite, or do whatever it takes to learn as many words as possible.

For the others, I think the best way to improve is to take as many practice tests as possible. Princeton Review's 11 Practice tests are great for just the tests, and the Blue Books is great for tests as well as explanations and tips/tricks.
