Alright, to attempt and make a long story short, I've been accepted (and already sent my deposit in, actually...very committed!) to a university. All was good, just maintaining my grades and trying to get to August, right?

Well, I spent much of January in Thailand teaching English and staffing a family education conference. I am dual-enrolled at a local college, and am taking 2 classes (they were not required for graduation, I had all my necessary credits at the end of my junior year, actually): Gen Chem and Human Nutrition.

Before the spring semester started, I approached both of the profs and they were ok with my being in Thailand for the first few weeks. I even asked my Gen Chem lab teacher if I'd be able to get a "decent grade" in lab--B+ at least! He said it wouldn't be a problem, and though I'd collect two 0's for the labs I missed, it would be ok.

So I missed the 2 labs, and though I've received high B's/A's on all of my following labs, I calculated my lab grade today: SIXTY-ONE percent!

Lab is worth 20% of my gen chem grade. If I get below a 60 in lab, I automatically FAIL the whole course (including the lecture component).

I asked my prof if I could do something to get extra credit--30 page research paper, etc. and he said he wouldn't take anything. I literally have to be almost perfect to keep this above a 60, becase of how much the following labs are worth, etc.

I don't know what to do - should I withdraw from the course? (I have 'til next Friday, the 7th.) Should I finish strong, and hope for the best, and figure I may very well end up with a C? Should I contact my school for next year, and see what they think? Could my admission be rescinded because of this? Would it automatically be rescinded from withdrawing from the course?

Thanks! I'd really like ANY advice/experience with this. I'm drawing such a blank at what to do here!
