I really need help plsss--UC chances

<p>Hi I'm a senior from Cal. Asian/Taiwanese/immigrant/English Learner</p>

<p>I'd like to apply for all UCs, cal poly pomona, cal state long beach, cal state fullerton, san diego state university</p>

<p>(major in civil engineering, physics, architecture, urban studies)</p>

<p>High school: Eleanor Roosevelt
GPA: 3.45(w/unw) (9-11th) top 25th
(my junior yr is 3.9) (my senior yr first Q is 4.33)
SAT: 1470 (370CR 680M 420W), will take again in Dec.
ACT: will take it in Dec.
AP: Chinese5 Gov(next yr)
SAT subject: chinese
My seinor class: ERWC, Hnr Physics, Hnr Pre-cal, AP Gov, USHis TA, Choir
My junior class: lang arts, us history, worldhis, alg 2, graphic design
Community Services: Library 41hrs, School clean up 4hrs, Best buddies 2.5hrs
Club: Best buddies
Others: The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music [thoery of music grade 3&4]
Work: none</p>

<p>The reason my gpa is so low is because I came here in my junior yr. my 9-10th grades is from Taiwan. </p>

<p>Q: If i state my situation in my application does that help??
What are my chances to get into list of schools since i didn't take any subject test besides chinese but somehow i just come here for only like 1 yr??
Will colleges consider my grades differently ??
Is there some chances i could go to UCR or UCM?
Any advise for me to improve??</p>

<p>You should try applying to colleges in your home country. Many actually have very good programs for abroad sections. You would stand a good chance at the CSU’S. At the top prier UC’s, those will be very high reaches for you.</p>

How about UCR and UCM? Is there any chances?</p>

<p>All you can do is try Merced. They do appear to need students.</p>
