I really need help with this

I am an international student and I can't decide between Boston University, Tufts, and George Washington. I am planning to major in Political Science and Economics, and then go to Business Grad school. I would like to know, which of these three universities is more prestigious, more known, or has a better reputation, etc? Are there plenty of internships at Tufts? In short, is Tufts a top school in the country, and are the other two top schools or no?

Thank you very much for your help

Tufts is definitely the most prestigious of the three schools you listed by a longshot. The political science program is strong here, and you will no doubt be able to find a lot of resources and connections if you know where to look.

I completely agree with snuffles. Personally, I would only choose BU or GW if financial factors were at play in a big way (I mean things like full scholarships or similar things from BU or GW but nothing from Tufts); otherwise, Tufts is definitely the best choice. Good luck! :)

Hey I'm an international too. I'll be doing international relations, which involves polisci and econ so I'm kind of in the same boat.

All are prestigious though Tufts may be several feet ahead of the others especially in the areas you plan to study. I'm thinking internships shouldn't really be a problem if you ask around - all three schools are in prime locations for that stuff.

Though prestige is nice, it's important to also consider other things like location, school size, activities, etc.

Good luck in your choice!

Hi MataBoss, I am also an international studnet.

Tufts is miles of GWU and BU... Definately choose Tufts... grad school palcement is awesome and internship oppurtunities with Boston at your doorstep are numerous!

My sister is doing IR at Tufts...she says it amazing. The professors are great, very friendly. She also told me that internships are abundant there. Also, Boston is, without a doubt, a beautiful and fun college city.

As for economics, Tufts has one of best economics program in the country. If you did a double major in IR and economics, it wouldn't be gettin much better than that.

sorry meant to say (ahead)* of

There is no question that Tufts is the most prestigious of the universities you have listed. It is particularly renowned for political science, economics and international relations. I'd say definitely attend Tufts unless you have financial constraints.
