I really, REALLY want to go to Kenyon

What can I do this summer, senior year, and during the application proccess to better my chances of getting in?

I would encourage you to show admissions that Kenyon is your number one choice by visiting, becoming familiar with the admissions staff, and applying Early Decision I or II. Thats what I did and I was accepted EDII. Also work very hard on your
"Why Kenyon?" supplement essay to show that you are perfect for Kenyon and vice versa.

I'm going to kenyon in the fall and I got in off the waitlist and what I was told by admissions was that basically I was waitlisted because I showed almost no interest in Kenyon (no visit, no contact outside of application). So I guess the moral of the story is that Kenyon is very "interest sensitive" and doesn't like people using it as a backup/only wants kids taht really want to go to kenyon. So if you really want to go there, visit, email them with quesions, interview, etc. They will notice.

is ed 2 have the usual rule that one must take an acceptance offer from kenyon and remove all other apps?

quick q on this: is there a way to 'preview' what the fa pkg wd be be doing an ed?

Both ED1 and ED2 are binding.

I don't think FA decisions come out until spring (someone else correct me if I'm wrong). That's why if you need FA, you should not apply ED.

so no way to do a rough modeling or preview of the fa BEFORE electing ED?
