I really want to get accepted into NYU or Georgetown (am I a good candidate)?

<p>I am currently a Junior in HS (a predominately black-hispanic highschool in NJ-- poorly ranked)
(I am a black female, if that matters)</p>

<p>either way here are my stats:
1st in class right now-- took all honors classes 9th,10th grade.
I am beginning JUnior year with a 4.157 GPA, and I am taking 3 AP classes.
I played varsity soccer.
I was the Vice President of my class last year.
I am the student representative to the board of education
I am a county director for a student political organization--the official student one in my state.
I ran track 9th and 10th.
I am now doing my school's newspaper.
I am the financial advisor for a small organization (music)
I am the treasurer of the French club</p>

<p>I really have to improve my standardized test.
i got a 161 on my psats..but i am now taking prep for the SAT so i should increase.
i have yet to take any subject tests or AP exams.
I also want to take the ACT.</p>

<p>You need your SATS up about 400+ from the PSATS</p>

<p>oh yea, i am also a member of the national honor society</p>

<p>why is no one answering? :(</p>

<p>You seem like a good candidate, but there are thousands of good candidates for those schools. Expand your list of schools, take the ACT and the SAT, and then reevaluate your chances.</p>
