Good extracurriculars- Varsity swim team captain, Law Club President, Student Government Executive Board Secretary, Graphic Design Club Secretary, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Chrisitian Athletes, Student Mentor, Florida Girls State Delegate, All County Swim team 3 years in a row, Volunteer water safety instructor, middle school tutor...and the list goes on...
My GPA is not high, 3.7 unwt 4.2 wtd.
but i'm in the top 10% of my class....
what do you guys think?</p>
<p>i think you are in-- your gpa is quite good. my son got in last year with a scholarship!! he had 760 English and 570 math = 1330 boards based on 1600 and with a 3.75 weighted gpa and in top 15% of his small graduating class. He also had very impressive EC's and an excellent essay and he sent in two great recs.. I do think you will get in.</p>
<p>If Miami is your number 1 choice, why not apply Early Decision. My son did and got in. While his Math score was higher than yours, his English was lower. So it probably evens out. Sounds like you have a good chance.</p>
<p>You should have no problem getting in with that.</p>
